Doris Ellen Skoog was born May 5, 1930 in Aitkin, MN the daughter of Walter and Margaret Johnson.  She was the oldest of eight children. 

She graduated from Coleraine High School in 1948. After graduation she worked in Remer at the telephone company for six years.  She moved to Centuria around 1953.  She worked at the bank as a teller. While living in Centuria she met and married Don Skoog.  They resided in St. Paul for a few years before moving to Lindstrom in 1964.  She held various jobs in the area including a run at Plastic Products and the Lindstrom Post Office. Doris loved dancing, shopping, moving and going to the casino.  She loved the Vikings.  She also liked to travel.

Doris passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the age of 84. 

Doris leaves behind her sons, Bob (Nicky) of Roseville and Brad (Kris) of Lindstrom; grandchildren Abby, Kelly, Courtney and Tony; great grandchildren Kylie and Leo; sisters Evelyn Jean Davidsavor Maack of Henderson, NV, Geraldine (Russell) Kelch) of Rice Lake, WI; brother Gordon (Jean) Johnson of Amery, WI; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in the death by her parents Walter and Margaret; brothers Norman, Gerald, Donald and Richard.

Memorial Service 3 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Condolences may be left online at www. grandstrandfh.com.
