Erlinda C. Thoreen, age 76 of Lindstrom, died peacefully at home surround by her family on May 31, 2015.  She was born June 26, 1938 to parents Francisco Cambella and Anacita Morales in San Marcelino, Manila, Philippines.  She graduated high school from Holy Angels Academy in Angeles City, Philippines and then attended St. Thomas College in Manila.  She worked at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines where she met and married her first husband Hayden Weaver, who was later killed in Vietnam.  Erlinda came to the United States in 1965 and lived with her sister in Chicago, Illinois for a time.  She moved to Minnesota and in 1966 met Harold.  They were married in 1967.  To this union three children were born Russell, Norman, and Nanette.  

She became a U.S. citizen in 1974.  Erlinda enjoyed gardening, her plants and flowers, and shopping.  She really loved and enjoyed her grandchildren.  Erlinda worked full time until she lost her battle with cancer.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her infant child Anthony; mother Anacita; sisters Felicita Sitton and Nelly David.  She is survived by her husband Harold; children Russell (Tammy) Thoreen, Norman (Kim Hofmann) Thoreen, and Nanette (Bill) Fredrickson; grandchildren Russell, Austin, Lainie, Avery, Elias, Ayden, Samantha, Dallas, and Dylan.  

Celebration of Life 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at  Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, with visitation from 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.  Condolences may be left online at www.grandstrand fh.com
