Alice Jean Roles was born November 19, 1936 in Hinckley, MN to Thomas and Sylvia (Mista) Thompson. She was raised and attended school in Chisago County. On January 9, 1954, she married George Roles at Taylors Falls. They made their home in Eden Prairie for several years. In 1991 they moved to Isanti and later to Cambridge.

Alice died unexpectedly on June 25, 2016 at home at the age of 79 years, seven months and six days. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George on June 28, 2003, sister, Donna and brother, Tom.

Alice is survived by three sons, John (Jolene) of Anoka; Tom (Marylynn) of St. Joseph; Kevin (Chris) of Minnetonka; four grandchildren, Sam, Zach, Tyler, Stephanie; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Thalia; one brother, Eugene (Shirley) Thompson of Mora; three sisters, Mary (Don) Phillips of Texas, Ardie (John Akerson of Palisade, Helen (Jerry) Thoreen of Center City; and by many other relatives and friends.

Mass service was June 29, 2016 in Cambridge, MN at Christ the King Catholic Church
