Travis was born on December 11, 1941 in Clarke County Mississippi to Luther and Zetha Fagan. In 1960 he married Judy (Pierce) Fagan in North Branch and moved back to Enterprise Mississippi to start their family.
At one point, he moved his family back to Chisago County where Travis worked at a machine shop and bought Hillcrest Resort. A few years later, Judy and Travis also purchased Whispering Bay Resort. Over those 30 plus years his family became accustomed to running a Resort. They sold Hillcrest later and ending up owning Whispering Bay for 33 years. He met many people along the way and made some life long friends too.
After semi-retiring from the resort business Judy and Travis returned to Lumberton, Mississippi where they had a small farm which included some cattle and pecan trees. When he wasn't working he enjoyed being at the family cabin in Giese, MN most of all spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His life will continue to be celebrated by his wife Judy; son Bruce (Lee Ann), daughter Shari (Denny); grandchildren Erin (John), Josh (Amber), Caylin, Jessica (Andrew), Charli; and great grandchildren Taylor, Brody, Tanner, Isabel, and Hendrix also his brothers James and Rodney; sisters Ruth, Ramona, Charlotte; along with many special family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Zetha, brothers Frank and Harold, sisters Kate, and Dorothy.
Funeral Service 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom with visitation 4- 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to the service at church.
