Paul Lindblom

Paul Philip Lindblom was born on October 26, 1951, in Braham, Minnesota to parents Philip and LaDonna (Sjogren) Lindblom. Paul stepped into Glory on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at his home in rural North Branch, Minnesota surrounded by his family, at the age of 65 years, two months and five days.

In Paul’s younger years, he lived with his family in rural Center City, Minnesota. In 1964, they moved to Conover, Wisconsin, where his Dad was pastor at Pioneer Lake Lutheran Church. In 1966, they moved to Winter, Wisconsin, where his Dad served as pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Paul graduated from Winter High School in 1969. When the family moved once again, Paul remained in Winter until the early 1970’s when he returned to Minnesota. While living in Minnesota, Paul came to a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and spent the rest of his life (as health allowed) as a worship leader and later as a pastor.

Earlier, Paul worked in the construction trade as a block layer/brick layer. He was forced to give up the construction trade due to his health. Diabetes caused many health problems for Paul.  He received a kidney transplant in July of 1980. Years later, he had to have part of his right foot amputated and, in December of 2014 his left leg was amputated below the knee.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and LaDonna as well as infant siblings Mark Ray and Eunice May. Paul leaves behind many people who loved him very much: Linda, his loving and dedicated wife of 21 years; three daughters, Jolene (Nathan) Wille, Melissa (Anders) Johnson and Lynette Lindblom; Stepchildren James (Lisa) Eastman, Jodie (Ben) Nagel, Jeremy (Amber) Eastman and Jackie Eastman; two sisters Lois (Wally) Srock and Rebecca (David) Sorenson and two brothers John (Janet) Lindblom and Dan (Connie) Lindblom; five grandchildren and 20 step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Visitation will be held at Grandstrands Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota on Friday, January 6 from 5-8pm. Visitation also will be held one hour prior to the funeral. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7 at Living Water Fellowship in Rush City, Minnesota at 11am, with a luncheon to follow. A private interment at a later time.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
