He was a lifelong learner and teacher. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts and went on to teach the same. He met his wife, Jean (Colstrup) while teaching in Frost, Minnesota. They were married on June 11, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He later received a Master’s degree from UW-Stout. He was an Educator at Forest Lake High School for 28 years. He had many interests including: traveling, photography, woodworking, auctions, and collecting tools and antiques.
Marvin joined his parents, his six siblings, and other family and friends in Heaven.
He is remembered by his wife, Jean, and his children and grandchildren: Mary and David, Isaac, Louis and Bailey, Anne, and Sarah Peloquin; Karen and Michael, William, and Kate Poor; and Paul and Colleen, Ethan, Grace, Emma, and Jane Fuhrman.
His Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chisago City. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Chisago Memorial Park in Chisago City after the service. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com.
