Dorothy C. Adams passed away peacefully at home July 3, 2017.

She was born June 15, 1932 to Nels and Eleanor Petersen in Peekskill, NY. As a young girl she moved to Eureka with her parents and younger siblings. On June 3rd, 1950 she married Russell Adams of Somerset, WI. where together they had seven children. Dorothy and Russell loved to travel and spent several winters in Donna, TX after they retired. Dorothy loved crafting, camping and in-home sales. Above all she loved being a grandma to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Russell Adams; children:  Everett, Wesley (Debbie) Adams, Brian (LeeAnn) Adams, Renae Adams, Linda Christensen, Shelley (Kevin) Price; siblings Rose Lunde, Shirley (John) Lubinski, Harry (Sally) Petersen, and Jim (Durae) Petersen; also 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 25 great grandchildren and their spouses, as well as two great-great grandchildren. And,  many extended family members and friends.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Nels and Eleanor Petersen, mother and father-in-law Elmer and Laura Adams, son Dennis Adams, and daughter-in-law JoAnn Adams, and two brothers Ed and George Petersen.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the St. Luke’s United Methodist church in Frederic, WI. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church on Saturday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.grandstrandfh.com.
