Darlene is preceded in death by her husband Ron, and son Trevor. She leaves behind four children; Blake (Janet) Oehme, Steven (significant other Jennifer) Oehme, LeeAnn (Bruce) Fagan, and Russell (Paula) Oehme; along with 11 grandkids, 20 great grandkids, and four great great grandkids, plus her cat Taffy who will miss her dearly. She loved all kinds of animals. Darlene was blessed to live on her farm alone with help from her family for all her adult life. She enjoyed her grandkids’ visits. After the Christmas holidays, she especially enjoyed her family, taking care of her plants, especially violets (her favorite), feeding the birds and enjoying life.
She had many friends and was active in Eastern Star while working at Shafer Electronics and taking care of her family and many of those around her. She lived her life her own way.
We are proud of her Military Service during WWII as a registered nurse in the Women’s Army Corps.
Darlene will be buried next to her son Trevor at the Hillside Cemetery in Center City, Minnesota with a Church Service and Celebration of Life to follow later this summer.
To our mother, our grandmother, our friend; we will all miss you, but we are all so proud of your life and you made all of us better in so many ways. Rest in Peace.
Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Condolences may be expressed online at www.grandstrandfh.com
