Grace Delmonico scored a hat trick to lead the Gentry Academy Stars, ranked second in Class AA, to a 9-2 win over the Class A Wildcats Saturday, December 17 at Aldrich Arena in Maplewood. The Wildcats scored both of their goals on power plays, which is not surprising considering there were 17 penalties in the game – 11 on the Stars and six on the Wildcats. Nora DeVries scored midway through the second period, assisted by Laine DeVries and Lauren Schmidt, to get the Wildcats on the scoreboard. Ella Perreault scored the Wildcats’ other goal midway through the third period, assisted by the DeVries sisters. The stars outshot the Wildcats 34-15 for the game.
