Winter on-street parking rules are in effect in the larger urban areas.  Regularly utilized streets need to be free of vehicles for plowing.  The on street ban overnight lasts until April. November 29 North Branch Police in pursuit of a vehicle northbound on I-35, underway about 10:30 a.m. Sheriff’s patrol aided in halting the fleeing car, which had been reported stolen. One arrest made when subject detained near the Harris 61 Stop.

November 30 Lakes Area Police were called to the Chisago Lakes Middle School and recovered a vape device and knife from a student. Charges are pending on the juvenile possessing a dangerous weapon on school grounds.

December 1 a three vehicle crash reported on Forest Boulevard in Rush City. Deputies found one car on fire and a DUI suspect was detained. Charges were pending blood test results. Incident reported about 5:30 p.m.
