Deanna Geslin
Deanna Sue Geslin joined her parents in heaven on Monday, July 15, 2024. She died peacefully at the University of Minnesota Hospital surrounded by her guardian, close neighbor and caring hospital staff who never left her side.
Deanna was born on November 27, 1971 in St. Paul and was raised on the family farm in Almelund. She took great pride when sharing with people that she was a graduate of North Branch High School. Deanna loved the farm and had dreams of one day running the farm for her parents. She dearly loved tending the cattle, the farm cats and her horse Mandy May. She loved the farm dogs especially the house dog Dudley.
Deanna held a number of jobs starting with babysitting as a teenager, working at the local feed mill, township clerk, working at the local grocery store, the bank in Taylors Falls, milking cows for a neighbor and office support for the county. She loved visiting with and helping her neighbors. Deanna was struck with MS early on but always tried to maintain a positive attitude. She was a lovely caring woman who left us too soon. Her faith was very important to her and she loved attending church at Immanuel Lutheran in Almelund.
Deanna is preceded in death by her mother, Suzanne Geslin and father, Arne Geslin.
She is survived by her sister Shanna Lin Geslin and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church (due to remodeling at Immanuel Lutheran Church) in Center City with Rev. Justin Fenger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will follow the service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Almelund. A luncheon and time to share memories will follow in the church fellowship hall.
