Peggy Lou Bergquist, age 83, of Lindstrom, MN, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2025, joining her son Timothy; brothers, Robert, Donald, Richard and John and sister Joyce in death. Peggy is survived by her husband Charles of 61 years and daughter Brenda (Kyle); daughter-in-law, Amy; five grandchildren, Cody (Nicole), Paige and Colten, Savannah (Paxton) and Kassity (Austin). Six great-grandchildren; brother James Swenson; and many other family and friends.

Peggy was the daughter of Olive and Elmer Swenson and was a life long resident of Lindstrom. She loved life, had a big heart, was silly and loved to laugh. She enjoyed living on the lake, floating on the pontoon, gardening and golf. She worked at Hazelden until she retired then loved to winter in Texas with Chuck, where she enjoyed happy hour with snow bird friends. Peggy was an amazing cook and loved to share her creations with those she loved. Her holiday meals were legendary. Her grandchildren often fought over the right to sit at the “adults table” just to be close to grandma. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren. 

Peggy fought a 5 ½ year difficult battle against breast cancer, but almost always had a smile on her face. Her attitude through it all was inspiring to all that knew her. She did everything extra; extra sugar, butter, hugs, and love. 

Funeral Service 2 p.m.  Friday, April 4, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
