Numerous minor vehicle crashes over the week, one resulted in a transport to Wyoming M Health, this was at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 approximately at Lofton and Chisago Boulevard. Female driver went off Lofton southbound and was injured.

January 22Complaint of an assault incident on one of the Chisago Chain of Lakes resulted in the county looking deeper into the evening’s progressive ice shack party activities, and making an arrest of a male charged for providing alcohol to minors.

January 2 Sunday night a police patrol made a stop to check on a vehicle in a ditch The Lakes Area Police officer came across meth and stolen property allegedly in the vehicle and the 52 year old male driver had a warrant, and he was arrested.

A couple of catalytic convertor thefts reported in the county last week. One from a vehicle parked for a lengthy amount of time at Pinewood Apartments in Harris and one from a Johnson Lane, Chisago City, address.

The fire departments in the north end of the county responded to a call of sheds on fire on a property on 490th Street, Rushseba Township. Call came in about 1:45 a.m. No injury reported. Cause is under investigation.

November 21A Chisago City man has been apprehended on suspicion of being responsible for an arson house fire in Center City. Reported a little aftermidnight, responding fire authorities quickly concluded the house on Grand Avenue had been deliberately set ablaze by stuffing insulation into a chimney.  Information on charges Monday …

Readers are reminded the winter overnight street parking restrictions are in effect.  Lakes Area wrote dozens of “warning” tickets but they won’t  last forever until there is a fine attached.  Overnight street parking is prohibited in most larger cities until April to keep the lanes clear for plow trucks.
