February 3 an “altercation” happened at a basketball game at the Chisago Lakes Middle School. Lakes Area Police looked into the video provided and did interviews and the discipline was left up to the school.

There were no Law Enforcement reports in the Press for Jan 26.  The following includes bookings back to Jan. 9 and some of the more major calls. The gaps were due to circumstances outside the paper’s control.  We are back up to date.

December 16A suspect fled a crash scene at Lofton Avenue and County Road 14 after missing stop sign and driving through and striking a guardrail on the opposite side of the intersection. A K9 unit came out and tracked the suspect and an arrest was made on suspicion of DUI.

December 10County got a report of cash missing from a birthday card delivered to a Lent Township address.

December 3 a two vehicle crash near Hwy. 8 and County Road 14 intersection. Two drivers hurt but not seriously. Authorities are ticketing one for failing to drive with due caution. Reported about 10 p.m.

Many warning tickets are being written for  overnight street parking in cities with ordinances restricting on-street parking. From now to April most city areas have on-street parking prohibitions, check with your local jurisdiction.

Incident ReportsLaw enforcement is getting calls inquiring about campaign sign removal laws...the state of Minnesota gives campaigns 10 days to remove their signs from yards, fields and the roadside —so Friday, Nov. 18 is the date to have signs gone.

November 6Smoke in apartment building on Olinda Trail in Lindstrom, reported 6:52 p.m.  Officers entered apartment to find food on stove top creating smoke and dweller asleep. Place was aired out and no injury reported.

October 30Structure fire at 260th and Pioneer Road, reported at 10:40. No details available.

October 23A single vehicle crash reported at Morgan and Olinda, south of Lindstrom. Suspect facing DUI charges and for driving after cancellation. Incident called in about 7:30 p.m.

October 15 a report of windows dumped at the lake access off 295th in Lindstrom. City and DNR will handle proper disposal.
