Readers are reminded the winter overnight street parking restrictions are in effect.  Lakes Area wrote dozens of “warning” tickets but they won’t  last forever until there is a fine attached.  Overnight street parking is prohibited in most larger cities until April to keep the lanes clear for plow trucks.

October 9, about quarter to one in the afternoon, there was a report of a motorcyclist hit by a van that left the scene. The incident happened at Mattson Lane and Stacy Trail, north of Chisago City.

October 2Vehicle fire reported 9:13 a.m. at Chisago City by the Moberg park statue. Fire truck from Chisago City was already in position for a veterans fundraiser run and handled it.

Sunday, Sept. 26 Wyoming Police gets assistance from Lakes Area Police in setting up a landing zone, at Maranatha Church, for air ambulance transport.  There was an incident where a fallen tree reportedly hit a man in Wyoming.  Wyoming authorities were not releasing details as of Tuesday.

September 19Several Lindstrom area fire departments went to a fire that was reported to have engulfed a detached garage, at an address on Lakelawn Drive, and was threatening the nearby dwelling. Call came in about 4:20 p.m. (See photo right.)

August 8 a sheriff’s deputy made an arrest of a domestc assault suspect in Taylors Falls, about 10:30 p.m. The  man was assessed at Wyoming Medical Center for extreme intoxication before being jailed.
