Locals remembering 9/11

American Legion Post #272 held the 17th annual Day of Rememberance Tuesday evening at Moberg Park in Chisago City. The event was to celebrate and honor those who gave their lives on 9/11.  Law enforcement, fire departments, local Veterans and politicians all took part in the moving ceremony.

The energetic buzz of 210 youth preparing for show was hard to miss at Minnesota 4-H’s annual Engineering Design Challenge on Aug. 6. The event welcomed youth from across the state in a fun learning event that encouraged teamwork, innovation and lots of creativity.

Labor Day Paddle perfect get-together

Paddlers started from various points on area lakes and made a rendezvous at Lindstrom Beach for a picnic lunch and roasted corn courtesy of Chisago Lakes Paddle Club and Bill Mack. An estimated 25-30 participated in the event.
