Well as we shift into the doldrums of the tweener months, that is when we here at the Press work diligently on our 2022-23 Community and Visitor Guide. 

Home Show, a great gathering spot, paper winners chosen

Wasn’t it refreshing to have an actual Home and Business Expo that we could see our friends and neighbors at again?  In reality we skipped just one year, but it seemed like forever since it shutdown. 

Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community looks toward next 10 years of being a hub for arts

An art exhibit celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Wyoming Area Creative Arts Community (WACAC), opens  February 17, and runs through March 19 and features an eclectic exhibit by local artists. Hallberg Center for the Arts is at 5521 Viking Blvd NE in Wyoming, MN 55092.

Center City to hold hearing on redevelopment of two sites

Center City is looking at a construction boom. Relatively speaking that is. The city planning commission  is considering plans for a redevelopment of the “Go Boat Motel” parcels and also for carving three lots from a large single family property near the Government Center.

Come out this weekend for the return of Home & Business Expo

This weekend is the Chisago Lakes Home and Business Expo.  The event will be held (yes in person) at the Chisago Lakes Wildcat Center at the high school.  The event runs from 10am to 4pm Saturday and then 11am-3pm on Sunday.

Chilly temps, fun times

The Celebration of the Lakes festivities were enjoyed by all, including snowmobile races, dodgeball tournaments, fishing contests, polka dances and fireworks.

Wow what a great weekend for an outdoor celebration.  Judging by the number of people I saw out on the ice, it looked like everyone was ready to get out and mingle with friends and family.
