On May 17, Lakes International Language Academy (LILA), a K-6 language immersion charter school and International Baccalaureate World School, was honored with a Minnesota Promising Practices in Character Education Award at the capitol in St. Paul.

The Breakfast Club at the Chisago Lakes Middle School met for the last time this year on May 4. The speaker was Matt Minnichsoffer, a Chisago Lakes graduate, who is a graphic artist and in charge of the Minnesota Wild team publications. The students enjoyed hearing about his job.
