Harmony in the Park is the place to be, send in your fish photos
Harmony in the Park is up and running. Next week is Songs of the South which is an Alabama tribute band. The Chisago Lakes High School Marching Band will perform prior to the Songs of the South show. All concerts begin at 6:30pm but get there early because there is always yummy food and beverages to enjoy with your friends and neighbors.
Chisago Lakes will host the Region 12 K9 competitions before the public, this Sunday. Sunday’s events include a meet and greet at the high school parking lot at 4:30pm with an introduction to all of the competing teams followed by a brief demonstration of each field event.
Monday, bright and early (7am) the events begin at the high school softball field, the track field and at Ki Chi Saga Park. Tuesday there are more events at the softball field and at the Middle School football field. The public is invited to come watch the competitions. Check out page 12 for all the details.
The final Chisago Lakes Triathlon is still looking for volunteers. They are in need of lifeguards, run route helpers, bike route helpers and they always could use a hand at Paradise Park. If you can donate any of your time they will be most grateful. Please call the Chamber at 651-257-1177 for more information.
Come to the Karl Oskar House at Ki Chi Saga Park this Sunday, June 25 from 2-3pm, and enjoy Nordic music with a Minnesota twist by Tjärnblom, Swedish for "woodland lake flower."
This Scandinavian-style string band features a beautiful blend of Nyckelharpa, Octave Mandolin, Harmonium and Cello. This group has been playing together since 2015 throughout the Upper Midwest.
Now that we are fully into summer fishing season, we would love to feature your photo of the big fish you or your kids may have caught. Send your fish pics to [email protected]. Please include your name and what lake you caught the fish in...no you don’t have to give your exact location. We would love to show the public your accomplishment.
