Vehicular homicide charges filed
Felony vehicular homicide charges have been filed in connection with a minivan and passenger car crash Friday, March 14 about 6:18 p.m. on Rush Lake Trail, in Nessel Township. One of five children involved was removed from life support March 20 and passed away.
North Branch man sentenced for woman’s death in Lakeside Park
The North Branch man convicted of second degree murder, criminal vehicular homicide and assault in an incident that resulted in the death of a 17 year old female in a Forest Lake park, was sentenced in Washington County District Court March 20.

Felony charges have been filed in connection with a fatal minivan and passenger car crash Friday, March 14 about 6:18 p.m. in Nessel Township, in the north end of Chisago County.

Report about 4:30 p.m. of a truck stopped on Furuby Road in the driving lane, driver sleeping. Deputies found a male and field tested for sobriety. He was arrested for DUI and for having a firearm in his possession when prohibited. The truck was returned to the registered owner.
