CLMS students on target to plant 3,000 trees this year
Motivation from the movie An Inconvenient Truth has spurred action from Chisago Lakes Middle School students, who are working toward their goal of planting 3,000 trees by the end of the school year.
Student essay earns first place
Lakeside School student Emily Kerr's essay, "Why I am Glad America is a Nation of Immigrants" was selected as the first place winner by the American Immigration Law Foundation's local chapter.

Students involved in variety of Arbor Day activities
Arbor Day, simply put, means "Tree Day." During the 1870s, many states passed legislation to observe Arbor Day, and the tradition of planting trees began in schools nationwide in 1882.
