September 30 the state patrol went to the scene of a crash at East Viking and Hwy. 8, about 9:30 p.m. One driver was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. State Patrol was unable to provide preliminary information when contacted Tuesday this week.

Monday, September 24 the state patrol released preliminary information about a multi-vehicle crash involving two area women, reported about 6:45 p.m. that day. The crash happened on I-35 northbound in Anoka County, as traffic came to a stop in the left lane.

September 3, Labor Day--a female had an asthma attack while hiking in Interstate Park in Taylors Falls and required emergency care by Lakes Region EMS. Taylors Falls firefighters assisted her in getting back to the parking lot. She refused transport. Incident was called in about 4:30 p.m.

Lakes Area Police noticed a yard firepit August 8 on Railroad Avenue in Chisago City, about 5:30 p.m. Prohibited materials were being burned and there was nobody watching the fire, which was very close to trees. Ticket issued.
