Three gymnasts headed to state

North Branch and Chisago Lakes are in arguably the toughest gymnastics section in the state. Section 7A features five of the top 17 ranked teams in Class A, including three in the top 10, so the competition is fierce and the qualification standards are high.

DANCERS SHINE UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHTS

For the third straight year, the Chisago Lakes Wildcat dance teams got to compete at the Target Center in Minneapolis as part of the state meet, and they all cherished their experience again, regardless of the results.

The Providence Academy Lions scored an empty-net goal with eight seconds remaining to seal a 6-4 win over the Wildcats in the final regular season game for both teams. The game was played Thursday, February 15 at the Plymouth Ice Center.
