The North Branch boys' hockey team participated in the preseason Turkey Day Tournament in Siren, Wisconsin November 27th and 28th and skated away with the championship trophy.
With the lights shining in the humid University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, five Chisago Lakes girls blocked out any nerves or uneasiness they may have had and harnessed their confidence for some spectacular performances over a three-day period last weekend.
Over the weekend, three football players, Brandon Johnson, Scott Bossard, and Kaj Johnson, along with Head Coach Justin Sawyer, gave up their Saturday to walk around town collecting food for the North Branch Food Shelf.

Goalkeeper, Tom Fitzer (Junior, Chisago Lakes, Minn.) was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athlete Conference's men's soccer defensive athlete of the week for October 26th through November 1st.
Although their regular season was a back-and-forth struggle all year, the Chisago Lakes volleyball team still earned a home playoff game when they were awarded the eighth seed in the Section 7AAA.
Even with only an outside chance of qualifying the whole team for state because of the stacked competition in Section 7AA, the North Branch girls cross country team put there proverbial best foot forward last week in an effort to topple some of the huge schools they were up against.
